# KPI Integration Summary

## ✅ Integration Complete

All KPI logging integration calls have been added to the approval update locations.

## Integration Locations

### 1. **BOStatusUpdateController.php** ✅

#### C Stage Approval (Completor) - Line ~192
- **Location**: After C stage approval, before creating final 'A' status log
- **Integration**:

#### FI Stage Approval (Initiator) - Line ~242

#### S Stage Approval (Initial Submission) - Line ~556

- **Stage**: S (Initial Submission - Client to Initiator)
- **User**: Initiator (user_id = 4)
- **Note**: Uses `logInitialSubmissionKPI()` instead of `logKPIFromApprovalLog()` because this is a special case

### 3. **ApprovalLogController.php** ✅

#### Generic Update Method - Line ~98-101
- **Location**: In `updateApprovalLog()` method after updating approval log
- **Integration**:

- **Purpose**: Catches any BOA approval updates that go through this generic controller method
- **Note**: Also has the Eloquent boot() method in ApprovalLog model as a fallback

## Stage Codes Tracked

- **S**: Initial Submission (Client → Initiator)
- **FI**: For Initiator (Processing by Initiator)
- **FA**: For Accountant (Accounting review)
- **FD**: For DMD (Deputy Managing Director)
- **FM**: For MD (Managing Director)
- **C**: For Completor (Final processing)
- **A**: Approved (Final status - NOT logged)

## What Gets Logged

For each approval, the system logs:
- `user_id`: The user who approved (from `update_by` field)
- `bo_in_id`: The BO initial ID (from `reference_id` field)
- `key`: The stage code (S, FI, FA, FD, FM, C)
- `duration`: Time in hours from `created_at` to `updated_at` of the approval log entry
- `created_at`: Timestamp when KPI was logged

## Duplicate Prevention

The service automatically prevents duplicate KPI logs by checking:
- Same `bo_in_id`
- Same `user_id`
- Same `key` (stage)
- Same date

## Testing

To verify KPI logging is working:

1. **Create a test BO approval workflow**
2. **Check `officeuser_bo_kpi_log` table** after each approval
3. **Verify duration calculations** are reasonable
4. **Test dashboard endpoints** to view the data

## Notes

- KPI logging happens **after** the approval log is updated, not before
- Duration is calculated in hours with 2 decimal precision
- If an approval happens in less than 1 hour, duration is calculated in decimal hours (e.g., 0.5 = 30 minutes)
- The system is designed to be non-intrusive - if KPI logging fails, it won't break the approval flow (errors are logged)
